EVs aren’t just “quiet gas cars”

• Sensitive sensors and cameras. EVs are loaded with driver-assist sensors, cameras, and radar units. Harsh, high-pressure cleaning in the wrong spots — or the wrong chemicals on sensor housings — isn’t worth the risk.
• High-voltage components. EVs are designed to be washed safely, but their layout means a knowledgeable, careful approach matters more than blasting everything with maximum pressure.
• Specialty finishes and trim. Many EVs use matte accents, piano-black panels, and unique interior materials that react badly to aggressive, generic cleaners.
